I occasionally get PMs asking for permission to use my music in videos and games, to which I usually don't provide a timely response since I don't actively use the site anymore. Therefore:
In addition to whatever license is listed on each audio page, all songs under my profile may be used according to the CC BY 4.0 license. This means you may use any song as you wish, for any purpose (commercial or not), and redistribute under whatever license you want. Under no circumstance do you need to ask me for permission!
For credit, just write "Buoyant" as the artist name, and include the title of the song (without the dumb ASCII art that some of my song titles have). A link to the audio page on Newgrounds is appreciated but not required.
Speaking of licenses, I would encourage everyone to avoid the "share-alike" clause when selecting a license. Forcing others to use the same licensing terms as yourself is going to cause more trouble than it's worth IMO. Personally I've removed the "non-commercial" clause as well since I think any loss of potential royalties is well worth the reduced friction.
**UPDATE**: My understanding is that a license can only grant rights (with conditions), not restrict them. So since the song is licensed under CC-BY-4.0 (due to this blog post), it doesn't matter that it is also licensed under a different set of terms on the song's page. You can simply choose the license you want to use and follow the terms of that license. Of course, there's no point in choosing the more restrictive license.

My motivation for making songs seems to be making a return at last. There are a lot of guitar ideas recorded on my phone, just need to make proper recordings and make songs out of them. I've also done quite a bit of ear training and learnt a lot of music theory that I'm excited to try out. Still need a few months to get any time though.

10 years ago today, 11 year old me signed up to this website to start posting music as well as enormous amounts of mostly dumb commentary. Thanks so much to Newgrounds, especially the audio forum regulars of 2006-2009, for being a delightful and important part of my early teen life.
