Ya this is really good, but well...
At first I doubted you didn´t use any kind of 3D program... but it might actually be possible though it would take a shitload of skill, effort an time.
Your 3D work here was amazing, but there are certain things except for graphics that´s important for a movie.
Although these effects and the happenings are overwhelming and amazing they are really poorly set together. I could see no story in it whatsoever, it was more of a lot of battlescenes put together in a random order. If you had subtitles or something like that in the bottom, preferably optional, which shows excactly what´s happening, or what the different characters are, it would be easier to watch and therefore a lot more enjoyable.
It gives no sense when it first is a supehero fighting a big robotic beast followed by persons riding different kinds of... futuristic things...!
So I suggest also having a stronger story put into it!
Still I guess this is more of an art-movie than a story, because the movie really catched thr song and played at just the same tempo with nice effect for certain riffs and beats! You did an excellent job at syncing!
I see it´s only made up on neon colours, and therefore it´s hurting the eyes if you watch it too much. You should be able to see it in a normal way too so it´s not hurting your eyes so goddamn much. But that would make a lot more work for you, and take a lot more time.
The movie is kinda small, which does make it harder to see everything, but it doesn´t take so much screen with that it is actually a good size. I belive that if it was bigger it would have hurt your eyes even more from the neon colours.
And in the start, why would there be a sun when the "world" is clearly robotic? There are a lot of such glitches here. (I only try suggesting additions to make me as helpful as possible here, so don´t take me wrong, I loved the movie, but I just want to give as much help as possible to make this movie even better) The woman in the beginning was clearly not robotic or anything like that as a contrast to the whole other city. However it is a nice contrast with some *real* drawing to show you´re not only cheating with the effects.
The music used was excellent, it kinda asked to get made a music movie of. And the result was good, you made it look like one day in a robotic city.
I think the beast you had there was really cool, but at times it is like it´s only repeating itself over and over, and it really doesn´t have anything better to come up with.
Okay then, scores and reasons:
Graphics: 9, the 3D-like style was excellent, but it hurts the eyes as I said before, and the creatures are really basic and could have had a lot more details. The graphics are however great.
Style: 6, By style I don´t mean graphic-wise, I mean the way it went forward and the story, which I told was very loose and certainly not very thought of.
Sound: 10, the music really is good! I have probably never heard this kind of electronica before, and it inspired me and probably many other musicans to make other kinds of music.
Violence: 10, It´s fast, "pseudo-bloody" and true violence, I have nothing to say against it.
Interactivity: 8, a play and replay button is all you need, but there should be options to have different things I mentioned earlier.
Humor: 3, I find no blatant humor in this, but some parts made me smile, and someone might think of violence-humor as funny as hell (Well I didn´t!)
Overall: 9, these graphics are amazing, and the art-kind of movie is one of the better movies ever released to Newgrounds.
Now, I hope you´ll respond or at least see this review because it took a goddamn while, and I had to watch it probably ten times, and it´s a complete waste if you don´t see it =/
Ahh well, bye for now :)
