Niiiiiice

The start with fast paced bongos n stuffs fits well, I haven't really heard that being used in dnb and other stuffs like that before. The bass was probably the thing I enjoyed most with this, it sounds sorta analog but still has an interesting and different sound. The other drums ya got are interesting though, though when you phased them you could prolly have phased them a bit more so it sounds like that and not like you just put some weird filter on it. Oh and that alarm/siren/whatever the heck you want to call it, is ace. rvmbckplz

0con responds:

Why thank you ;)

Yeah man I love using bongos a lot, and for this song them being fast fit pretty well.

That bass was a pain in the ass to make lol, I do like the way it turned out though so I do believe it was worth the ffort ;)

On the drums I actually used a flanger, not a phaser lol.

And fuck yes, the siren was epic as hell so I had to use that sample lol

Thanks for the review! I will drop one your way soon =)

arrrrrr

That beginning is promising, wit h epic bell sounds, sad pads, fx and all that. So you'd think it woul be some epic awesome shit- but it didn't turn out to be quite that. But it's close! It stands pretty much on the same place in the beginning, doesn't move on before that piano comes in.

And when that piano comes in- well that piano sounds absolutely horrible. First of all it's off key most of the time, so it just makes the song sound awkward. And the piano samples you used are horrible. It kinda makes it sound more like the background music in sims games (which I don't like either). But that piano is mostly the only negative thing to say about it. I suggest you try find a better piano sound. Well I see what you're doing with the melodies, and they fit well when they're on key, it's just when it's following the main melody that it's too argh-ish

Drums- the hat rhytm makes them sound more like a professional song. The kick and snare thing works too and fits both hats rhytm and everything else, but make the kick louder, now it's hardly audible really. So it sounds like there's only a hat and snare.

I'm loving the pad you used, the sound of it is absolutely lovable, makes the beginning sound epic as hell. The fx stuff you sparely use through the song is good too, so it would work better if you used it more frequently.

The bell sound is another great thing about this song. The melodies sure as hell are great, and they fit the snappy light sound of the bell.I personally think you used that delay quite too much, and you hear that near the end hwen it's almost silent. But it doesn't mess up the track too much anyways, so really, it works perfectly fine as is.

Maybe I sound too harsh on the song but I usually point out the things that can be improved in reviews. This is a lovable piece of music, but some parts mess that up. If you just fix up the stuff I mentioned I'd like it much more but that's opinion. For now you get my eight and you get my four, good work, keep working on this a littlllllllllle

SysRq00 responds:

Yerr, tis hard to make good things come out of FL Keys but it's all I got for now. I've actually been looking for a better sounding piano, but I'm still using FL Keys for now. And I worked hard on messing with the drum levels, and I agree that the kick was a bit neglected. Easy fix, though.

Thanks so much for the review, you've given me a LOT of good points to work on. I'm really enjoying working with this genre so this will certainly help me with my future music.

rawr

the guitar and bass work is great. So is the drums work though I don't really like that "oh let make kicks go like a machine gun" thing in metal, but I guess it follows with the genre somewhat. When all vocals in the first part was simply "Tuesdays suck", it sounded more like you couldn't think of anything to say, so you just screamed the first thing that came in your mind :D It sounds better when the vocals came in later on though.

This is some good, yummy stuff

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

Haha, thank you very much SBB. Machine gun drums ftw. It would be even cooler to use an actual machine gun sound...for those parts...haha...Oh the idea you just gave me. Bastard. haha

Thanks for the wicked review, bro.\m/

hey =(

dude I thought the ==(???)== thing was MINE lol :( Can't you at least use another tag like .:[???]:. or whatever (that was the first thing I could come of but anyways. You're impersonating me ain't ya

oh and anyways, I quite like this tune. From the *coughpresetcough* fx in the start it adds up to some more interesting stuffs. I like the drums you got there, but they sound strangely familiar. Hey I noticed a *coughpresetcough* note progression on that pad. And now there's a loop you took straight outta the loopbank eh :( You shouldn't really be doing that.

Ok so it changed massively into some ambient soundscape later on. I don't really mind that but it does have a nice sound. I notice you use most of the presets I used when I was using GarageBand only. That's interesting. Ya ever heard my very old song Scarecrowes? It's using kind of the same instruments.

Well it's a pretty good soundscape thing you got going here, but please edit your song and change the title so it doesn't contain that ==()== thing plz :(

FatKidWitAJetPak responds:

Oh yeah! Sorry, I didn't mean to steal your =()= And I use some loops in the loop library to make different combanations in sounds. =) I'm glad you liked it. And yes, the very end had MAJOR changes because it was supposed to represent the title. It looks like we can only create a collab with garageband version 2 though!n (For some reason I need to buy the Ilife thing) Well, thanks for the review! You are my influence BTW But I come up with these ideas by random not by what I listen to sao i haven't seen your song "screwdrivers" =)

yay

yay lightie drums, I like it all. The bass sounds like it's quacking lol. Again you got some pretty fuggin amazing tricks for yer drums. The same high frequent triangle thing is getting really annoying after a good while though, it kinda kicks my ears off the fuggin globe you hear what I'm saying :D

Blah apart from that it was a really really good tune and a good end for the show too. Now it IS very repetitive but again I don't care bout THAT

Rig responds:

If you're dancing the night away in a club, where this was originally played, you don't care about repetitiveness. lol
Thanks for the reviews, by the way! They're greatly appreciated. :D

Good

now this tune wasn't too interesting diversity wise, it was really one part being stretched into a long piece. But it sounds good neverthalezz. Though I'm not so sure about that guitar or some ethnic instrument sound. It just doesn't sound as good as the other stuff you got there, like them wind effects and such. Eh it doesn't matter, nice post-acopalypse thang

Rig responds:

Yeah, I don't really like it either. I should change it. Thanks!

rathar nice

Now those sine stuffs being modded around with and them... rainforest? fx give the tune a nice feeling already from the start. It builds up pretty slowly- so this is the only time it turned out a bit repetitive in the show. But now that them drums came in, that's when we started talking stuff. Still the stuff in the background IS pretty much the same pad and a few other inputs that aren't drums once in a while. But the shitload of different sounds and effects you add on them as it goes progressing is so interesting, it keeps yer listening through the whole thing without thinking bout that.

ooh piano- and it sounds fuggin yummy too ^_^

Great work on this part too my good sire

Rig responds:

Manipulated drums ALWAYS keep the song going. :) Thanks for the review! Thay "modded sine" sound is actually a sawtooth wave run though the filtering VST Minion. Check it out, it's awesome.
The piano was done with Nexus, by the way.

FUCKING ACEOHSFASN

Man how much I loved this. I mean, those drums and weird instruments incorporated with them- jesus christ you're good. I really love the stuffs you add later too. Great oriental and orchestral instruments, they really add a nice touch to a more drum- or drillnbass inspired track. Awesome work to the coar yo

Rig responds:

Thanks! I just threw my song "Genesis" in there out of desperation and added some drums and stuff. Nice to see that it all worked out :)

Yum

Now that pad's melody is sheer yummyness, but the pad itself sounds very basic, and it's some weird stuff going on when the notes shift- try adding more polyphony to the synth or more release to the same if that's what makes it happen. The drums sound pretty good though the beat is very very basic :P Also you could use some small reverb on them. A thing I really liked about this song was the rhodes. It adds a really relaxing feel over the whole thing. I was a little dissapointed by that square lead you put in later on, be careful so you don't spoil that perfect mood you put it in from the start.

review my song, lol im cool :P :D

SupraDarky responds:

Thank you so much for writing a review like this! I'll try my best to make it better and your review will help a lot in my decisions.

Cool

I really loved how you got rid of that square synth and used a keys sound now. Now I'm really digging themdrums, esp. ther toms, thayr roll is absolutely awesome. Some interesting little melody with the other synth you got into there. It sounds like those drums are the biggest change, isn't it

Wah that change in theme thing didn't really fit in too well. It sounded mroe amateurish than diversed when that happened- and I know you're not like that, so I'm sure you could roll of a complete change in theme much better than that.

Oh now I see you're making an epic ending with every possible note- that would work better with strings I believe

anyways I like it a lot, good stuff mistahr

ListenToMyMusic responds:

hmm, strings would be better. I didn't work as much on the ending part as the intro and middle. The old change of theme was still the same as in the original, so I may update this submission If I work on that more.

Good Bye, Eat Pie
