[Rig - What if? (Opening Act)]

good

I really like the fx you used in the start of stuff. The keys instrument sounds kinda weird, but it's okay for me. I'd like a more full sounding rhodes or piano sound better though. The switch of theme was done pretty cleverly. Those drums coming in are really ace stuff. Great work on that! Bass is good too. The supersaw lead thing did mess up things a little, made it sound more chaotic. But it's a good synth, so who cares 'bout that? The piano in the end has a nice sound, perfect amount of reverb and stuff. I like how you bring in elements from the start into the already fast-as-fuck song. Good start

I usually hate this kinda stuff, but I liked this- at least for it's genre. The little volume dump in the first part doesn't seem ´right´, at least it makes it sound more like you faded it out and introduced a new part. Which doesn't really work to well (for me). Oh and the synthage is wonderful, drums have a great sound too. Blah it's good why'm I writing this

haha, I noticed that if you set the visualizer to "sauron", you'll see the lines in the eye "playing" the notes, both left hand and right hand- kinda like, c'mere, sauron's gonna get ya to sleep :D

Oh, and this song is nice, but that's not what reviews are for, is it?

[Crazy Voice Trumpet Solo]

cool

your voice is funny but the "trumpet" solo was just amazing. I can't really find anything negative with this, the quality is perfect, and the choir sounds pretty realistic. Hats were too present in the track for me, the breathign sound takes away a bit of the voicy effect you also have. If you recorded an aah from yourself and put that on different pitches for chords it would be even more awesome since it would only be yours

the solo is what i hear im my mind as a solo, just made with voice, but i'll put some more stuff with my "real" trumpet so... stay tunned

I love the piano composition you did here. Maybe a bit empty and passive, but that does add to a creepy, still calm feeling. From the 1:40 the reverb does drown the notes of the reverb out, so it sounds like a messy bass thing or something. Since you have nothing else than a piano, the piece does turn out boring and not something I'd like listening from start to end a lot of times. But it would do great for some emotional background music

yeah

you pretty much succeeded with it, not a too noticable climax, but it works! Again there's this crappy kick. Synths aren't that clear this time, seems like there's a bit too much distortion on them. I love how you use them square waves in your songs. Overall a pretty nice tune again.

Good

Square is good. There's only one thing that I don't like, and that's the kick. I mean, jesus, that's a click- or, maybe, a metronome- at least it's awfull thin and crappy. Better use the better kick that you used from 'bout 1:20 there. String section is pretty slick, and it fits into the tune. Seems like you did some sidechaining with that too. Everything sounds clean and mean, so you did a pretty good job with the synths here! A nice little piece, only the kick now and it's great

Yeah

There are a lot of stuff that can be improved here. For a dance song, this one's really slow... the kick/bass sidechain was surprisingly slow. It would sound more like a dance song if you put it up to something about 150-170 BMP. The second thing is the pretty random sounding melodies. Especially that square, which has some weird notation and pitch bend. The lead has a much better and catchier melody, but it sounds pretty 'thin'- play it one or two octaves lower / detune it more / remove the phaser to make it sound better. The second part is pretty cool, I like the distorted bass. Square melody is more logical now, but there are these glitchy pitch bends that sort of annoy me. WEll, it's a good start on a song, but I really think there is a lot that can be added and changed. :3

First of all thanks for the review, it helped me a lot.

In this song I had focused a lot on the bass, I think it's more than decent but as you said, the melodies were too random and incomplete. The "Thin" melody was done especially so, I wanted to make it sound a bit classic and high-pitched.

I think I can notice some premade loop stuff in here... Like the very first thing- but I don't remember or have proof so anyways. That was a weird intro... did you post it live some kind og somewhere or what? Pretty repetitive and the same going on and on- I'd like it to change up much mroe than what it does now. I don't have a lot to say about this, but goddawn it'sh weird
