yay

this is what most DnB tracks need a kind of synth eh...

The underwater synth fx sounds great, makes the track running if you see it as I do... and it mixes perfectly with the other synth going on. the melody of the main synth sounds ok but nothing really remarkable. Well done though. The bass was pretty low, but it's great.

Good work, and good luck in the contest!

DSMagnum responds:

Interesting fact: there were three basses. At the beginning, there was a modulated DNB bass (C2 range), a moving bass (C3 range), and a subbass (C2 range). During the second half there were only the two C2 range basses playing. :P

Thanks for the comments. :D

yes

this could almost fit a miniboss battle, but it's actually a good track. I liked the subbass in the back, it gave such a great harmony, and after some eqing and mixing it would sound awesome. The drums sound pretty good, but they're a little wide for the track, and incredibly repetitive. Good luck in the contest!

Para-Noid responds:

I don't have a chance.

Interesting

doesn't sound entirely Industrial to me though.

The start pad is really fast, could've been slowed down a little. the other pads sound great though. I loved the lead and the melody it had. The variations of the arp synth sounds false and semitoned.

Interesting drum progression in this, sounds a little random to me.

KittenLoveX responds:

I agree that it was random.. I wasn't really sure what genre to put it in :-P

Trance-ambience

the pad sounds very trance like. It's mostly chords around a pad. this is the opposite of your other, this one SHOULD contain more drums :D at least a subtly reverbed kick could've done it.
I liked the chord progressions, but it really gets boring after a while.

Sandwhich-lord responds:

meh its an 8 second loop really

Very many drums

sounds like a cleverly edited amen break at times... I don't think beats are enough for a good battle style track. Take a little melody in it, and it would be much mroe exciting and easier to use in a pico flash really! Good work on the drums, but you really should take it a little farther. Good luck in the contest!

Sandwhich-lord responds:

thanks and tell you the truth i was going to but what with time limits and the lack of my pc with all the software on im kinda screwed

Hi

I updated the audio portal and out of sudden this song was there so

The start sounds pretty good, the piano alone is a classic but it works well every time. It sounds very good with the strings later on and the voice (which is scary at night)

I liked the turn-up in speed, which isn't recognisable if you don't listen good, it makes the track sound a lot better, more varied etc... the drums work well later in the song too, but they're less professional sounding in that part

I see you used the voice clip with the text in the descripton... it's not much of a statement... more of a "I don't wanna die" thing... The guitar makes a little contrast from the other parts, (choir and such) and it really sounds good too.

I loved the ending, it had a great melody and style, much like the rest of the track, but luckily you used something else for the ending.

good job also here's my dick

PERVOK responds:

Thank you for the review man, I don't think I've ever received a review from you before :) It's very much appreciated, you can bet your boots on that.

The guitar is very much contrasting... I know that :( But I wanted to get an "elegant but epic" feel out of the track, and I also just got a few new guitar soundfonts and I just had to try em out. And what a time to, eh?

And thank you. For your dick.

See ya on the forums :D Keep it easy bro.

well

this is mastered seriously low

I liked the small video game sounds you had once in a while

the square bass sounds pretty nice, though very lowly mixed

I like your drums, though they're really repetitive

It's strange

Spikrodd responds:

indeed... :D
ive decided to make a full ver. for warp of this instead. look out for speckle soon

sounds far away

and I don't really like how far away it sounds. It's kinda chiming and high pitched. I liked the eq thing you did on the drums, but it's really easy to catch how you did it. this track is seriously weird. I don't quite like the synth you have, it's a little bit false sounding.

weeeeee

Spikrodd responds:

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
lol.

thanks for that... i think..

you're extremely phat go ekserphise

I like the bass in this it's so good and driven. Especially later on the song.

I like the sw33t beatz in this, though repetitive, they're hard and catchy. the snare got a little annoying and so did the giant kick at parts of the song

This is good sound carp

VegetarianMeat responds:

lol at the title, thanks for the review :)

so

whare's the harmonica? I was expecting some huzzabizza when I saw the title OH THANKS for spoiling that for me. It just seems like a single synth. I really believe you could add more than that in the start. The pad is really low. The drum sounds good and incredibly repetitive.

But well I don't care

VegetarianMeat responds:

Yup, unfortunately no harmonica, I really should have rethought the name :P

welcome to bluegrounds :))
