blah

Something that's common with remixes is how the choice of instruments will usually sound bland and off- like here, the mix of tribal, casual and synth instruments just doesn't seem logical. The instruments don't go too well with each other. (some of the percussion and drum beats sound very much like premade loops etc)

You did a great job with the remix composition itself, but if you want it to be awesome, fantastic, amazing and all that, it needs some more work in the instrument choice section.

TommyVF responds:

Yeah, I actually don't make remixes. I make real songs in reason and such, this is just something I put together and I thought it was alright to submit! :)

yesh

It sounds wonderful and all, there's not much to nitpick on here. A bit of a disappointment after the long intro, since after the buildup to a rather weakclimax in the second minute, it didn't really develop much. Which is okay because it's 4 am and I really need to sleep instead of getting hyped up by intense trance.

Thank you for allowing me to sleep instead of staying awake (which I would if it happened to be an intense masterpiece). Goodnight.

Kr1z responds:

Well this was my purpose: making sure that my listeners are able to sleep ^^ :D
Im glad it worked out!
And thx for the review too ^^
Bye!

Weird sound that, you used a lot of samples 'ere... the orchestra hits don't seem to fit in so good. Harp sounds harsh, soften it up a bit plz. A very nice mix of orchestral, ethnic and synthetic instruments here, makes a warm atmosphere and makes the listener imagine a far away, light up landscape. Well done with the atmosphere for sure, but the composition is... rather weak, really :/ Luckily you stuffed it up with good instruments and effects to make up for it.

wyldfyre1 responds:

hey thanks for the honosty. Lets see... i'll see what i can do to bring the hits in a lil more smoothly and soften up that harp. I'll do what i can to fix this puppy up some. The tunes that have numbers by them are still WIP lol. Thanks for the review man!

I like. I feel the drums need more compression. Strings should be just a little bit louder, and seem sort of off key. Bass sounds great, just about perfect in every single aspect (but nothing more than that). Great structure, it really kicks off well after the voice samples shittles. Yay well done anyway

Quarl responds:

haha, thanks for dropping the review sbb!

bah

Clumsy and not recognisable melody makes this tune much less catchy than it could've been. A bit muddy mix too. Sounds a bit more like hip hop than techno to me- but that might just be because of the hoover-ish synths. Pretty unorganised and messy tune, doesn't catch my liking much at all. At least you got some nice synths, so when you get some better ideas for melody you might just have a great tune going on. :)

funkyjunky responds:

I would disagree, but naturally who wouldnt!
I can definatly see where your coming from but i dont think this is "Clumsy" so to speak.
Never the less I will use this advice in the future, I have found this post useful :)

>:(.

This sucks eggs and that is bad. As previously stated. >:(

Rig responds:

Mockery songs ftw.

wonderfully done

I think I was supposed to review this very song too rite

Well there's not much more to comment than what I said in the other review. You've done a great job making a song from my half-assed idea I made up in a few minutes :P Nice sine drums you've done to make it perfectly "sine-ular".

p4c responds:

yessir yessir hehe ty

Hey...

It sucks eggs! And that is bad! ;D

(No really, if you want to know, I loved it, makes a great atmosphere, a bit too much bass for my taste (Cause it fucks my ears badly when on headphones) but generally a wonderful idea for background tunage. Well done.)

yes

I agree, where the hell is the rock? Because I didn't see any. Fuck.

Weird stuff, sounds like you vocoded some inaudible voices or something... not anything I'd listen to much at all- interesting concept though. You might want to expand it. Hey you need some better drummage.

yay

The strums really sound harsh- if there's any way you can make em softer, do it, cause right now I feel they're too "in-your-face" and harsh as previously stated. A bit messy mix makes it sound less professional, but no biggie at all. Quite an enjoyable piece, not the most recognisable tune I've heard in my life, but it sure does work.

o and expect a few more reviews from me, cause I've shamelessy forgot to review you before

wyldfyre1 responds:

Yeah, you know i was pretty much afraid thats how they would sound guess i've talked myself into thinking they were alright. I'll tone them down a lil here and add it. yeah, alot of this was testing some new sounds. though i was kinda happy with how it turned out. As for forgetting about me!? HOW DARE YOU!?? hahah kidding much luv my friend! I do hope you enjoy my work i know your work blows my mind from time to time!
