yup

Now I didn't see much of that original there, it was more of a piano thang in the beginning then it evolved into a bit of trance that didn't resemble falling farther much at all- well anywhee, it changed its mind after a while into a HUGE GODDAMN MIDDLE PART which to me was way longer than it should. And then it went all bombin' with a supersaw awesoming up the melody. Outro also was bit too long for my tasty.

So well alright then, I DID see a bit of the original there, guess it woulda been way too repetitive if you used the melody more, cause it ain't too much of a varied melody to begin with. I'd really really love to hear a more present, less filtered piano thoe

Bah I don't have much to add. Everything seems perfecly fine to me.
Yeah

Sorry for coming so short with teh improvmentz zuggestionz D:

Karco responds:

The original is there - in the sense that this is where I originally wanted to take this song. Yeah, the middle part was repetitive. D: Again, I didn't kill myself over the diversity and I'm not going to go back and fix it now. :\

The filtered piano is an idea I took from the original, though I guess I could have chosen a "meatier" piano sample, if you know what I mean - now that I think about it, the one that I chose felt a bit thin and weak.

Nah, it's fine, reviews are always appreciated - thanks for reviewing, and for the high ratings! :D

so um

Nice

I mean

Great trip hop pad in the start and stuff- samples from the start sound like they're taken straight out of an electroacoustic piece made by either you or sinerider something I dunno. I like the ploppy percussion, kinda makes me wanna drink a large mug filled with water

brb, gonna go have some water

mm that was tastay
Now where was I

Oh and I absolutely love that reese thang. And every single other little piece of synth. The whole thang is 5 minutes carefully picked out of a huge block of audible awesome. Incredibly detailed sound, very professionally done. Damn you're skilled as fuck. You also followed rule 10 very well.

I dunno what to say, review my entry or something (just to fill up review space, no real message in this line im totle serious whait wat)

umm

bah

*walks off the scene*

Rig responds:

You're right about the beginning - a couple of the samples (like the radio) are taken from an electroacoutsitc sound pack thingy my teacher handed out. And yes, I tried to follow rule 10 to the extreme.
Thank you very much for the review! I'll hit you back. :)

yah

after a while it sounds pretty random, like 'oh let's throw in a synth texture there' and stuff- even though it's ambient you need to have a little bit of structure to it. With the rhodes thing too, 'imma play something' type thing, wasn't really called for

'cept for that it's a nice sounding song and it arouses me

FatKidWitAJetPak responds:

VERY TRUE, You are the only one who hasn't put a 10 on it yet, which is a good thing. It needs some structure I agree. I am going to change it around a little bit so don't worry lol.

sup

Like, I never ever heard the original but this sounds so beast I'm gonna buy the game just to hear how the original sounds

that's right

DarKsidE555 responds:

LoL, thanks for checking man! But you don't have to buy the game...I just could send you the original tune! Stupid no0bzor! ;D

Anyways, thanks for da review SBB!

bah

Rain samples don't really give a mood to that at all... I mean, you got the realistic sound of it down, now you just gotta add some reverb to that. Also for the piano. Piano needs lots of reverb. Cause now it just sounds like a shitty FL Keys horrible ish out of tune ouch :'(

Needs a lot more work really. Start with the reverbin' and then go and fix the horrible piano sound and the completely out of key thang

Send me a midi of that and I could try to fix it up lal

New-Milkman responds:

Lal, a MIDI.... I sort of want to forget about this, but remember to use reverb more often. Mostly I was playing around with a piano VST that I got, and figured I might as well try something. I defiantly had to think if I wanted to upload this or not, and I obviously decided that I should, considering I haven't done much in a while.

Thanks for the review tho!

I'm a hot wet mountain dweller

Yayz, orchestral battle dnb ftw. The reese sounds sorta overdistorted here, I don't know if that's like, some weird in-genre thing similar to the way people eat their food in oriental countries. Not that I have any idea how they eat their food there, but it just gives me that idea

Sweet fucking christ, I hate it when my own reviews give me headaches from its retardedness

Anyway them drums stay awesome as with most of your songs, I like that bitcrushedness you add in certain parts too. Not really anything negative to comment here... so I'll just end my review thing here and say awesome work.

yay glitchy ambients

Sorta reminds me of kingbastard's stuff. Lots of glitchy fx's into a still relaxing, lovely sounding song. I just love it when people manage to do that. :D

And though it sounds so kingbastard esque, it is unique. 'tis good to see you can keep away from that expressionistic-like style (don't have a better word for that :P) you often do and make some more natural soundin' stuff blah bah

I enjoy it a lot and I have nothin' more to say than that

attemptedperfection responds:

Thanks for the review; I'm happy you enjoyed it! Hopefully the judges will too... ;)
I wasn't trying to steal kb's style or anything, but I do love his work, and am glad to have made something that reminds you of it.

gragh

Yeh I have no idea how FL presets sound so I'm just gonna say that I like it- prolly because there's more drum and fx than there's synth in there. Why'd ya choose to only use fl presets anyway? That's just lame, I'd imagine how awesome it'd sound with some cutemle mayd snythz lol

blah

anyway

Good luck in the contest my good sir

well nice

Well this is indeed a song that contains awesomeness, but well of course I'm nothin' at trance and similar electronica genres so dangit. I really

really

Need to be able to see through the intense repetitiveness in most trance. It just doesn't seem to fit my liking ever how it's done. But now anyway, 'tis a great song, that acidish synth really did the track.

That highpitched motherfucker saying one two three four is so friggin annoying, you have no idea how much I want to take a chainsaw and rip him up. Get some other synth thing instead of that fugly voice so I can get out of my anger management class sometime before I turn 18. Cause if you're gonna keep that voice like that I'm probably gonna be moved to the mental patients building instead.

yah I don't like that voice very much

apart from that this song is great stuff, loved the song

plip plop

You like chopping things don't you- You also seem to enjoy using five hundreds of different FX's and sounds, or simply as many as you can possibly insert into a certain space of time.

Anyway, 'twas some really enjoyable stuff, only one thing I didn't like was the voice-ish thing in the start of it. But that's about nothing of the song, so it matters less than a drop of water in the Pacific ocean.

Nicccceeee

LJCoffee responds:

Yes, I very much like chopping and cutting things up. There really aren't as many effects and sounds as you might think but they're all layered together and in places there are many things happening so it gives the impression that there's a lot going on. I'm glad that you listened. Thank you!
