HAHAHAHAHA

Absolutely awesome :D

cool

I like the 'whatever they are strings' that go through the song. Oboe sounds like it's panned somewhat to the right? That turns out quite annoying actually. The drums don't fit this kind of music, but they do sound well together with all the string instruments. It has kind of a 'walking' tyle to it, which I like. Great quality and clarity, there's no issues at all with the mastering. Piano sounds much like a cheap soundfont, but it's never very present in this song, so it doesn't matter too much. Great work!

They sound is labeled "woodwinds," and it shouldn't be panned at all. Maybe it was your speakers? I guess the drums are a bit iffy, but it was supposed to be almost a marching song, which you said it seemed to fit. I know that they could have been better, but they turned out better than I epected.

Why don't you like that piano? I thought it was actually a pretty good sound. Maybe the reverb on it made it a bit much though.

Thanks for the review!

sure

Sure you made it in GarageBand... I can hear the presets. It's pretty out of sync and glitchy. which is the thing about garageband, it limits pretty much anything- also the quantisizing is a bitch. So I'd suggest trying out demos for a better programlike FL, Cubase, Reason whatever. This song sounds kinda awkward and off

well

Might fit as an ambience for some futuristic stuff if it isn't too loud- some reverb would make it much better for it... but except for that there's really no purpose of this audio. it's not really something to listen to

umm ok.

the guitarish thing is really cheap... like a synth or something. Nevermind it. The synths are a bit cheap too, but they work pretty good together. I like the bass you have here, a bit plain but it has a cool sound that would sound awesome with some pitch bendit or whatever. Drums are a bit fast for this tune.. half the speed would sound just as 'heavy' and probaby even more powerful. Just my little suggestion. It's a pretty good remake you've made here, there are still improvements that can be made to make it awesome.

Yup. You bring up some good points I suppose. However, not much I can do with Cakewalk Kinetic. Oh sure, theres Fruity Loops. I think its overused, right now I'm looking at a cool program thats about $270 called Aerospace Audioworks 5 or something like that. I demo-d it. Its awesome. Sounds more realistic, so soon enough.

hehe

that's pretty cool. The synth you use is really cheesy until you put the phaser on, kinda like your basic preset :P anyways. Those drums kick nicely, and the voice-ish arp thing is one of the coolest instruments I've heard in a while. Awesome idea :D A bit plain maybe, it doesn't move much away from the same theme. A cool theme though, why get anywhere when you're fine where you are. Good song.

review me back- if you want. kthnx

Cool

I like the piano melody. But you should probably get some better piano samples, cos this on sounds very plain and thin. The synths do also sound quite thin, but these aren't too important. I like the 606 tom sound thing. The melodies are good, but they aren't varied enough- it's basically lots of repeating on the same things with slight variations. But that's okay when it's about dance/trance music isn't it? :D

cool

The piano melody is really simple, and it doesn't sound entirely real with a straightforward rhytm like that... ah, not too much of a biggie. The ethnic percussion is great, I forgot what it's called. can you remind me of what it was? Good little loop you made here. Maybe a flute or some more of the string instrument would do good.

meneldil responds:

Why thank you xD

Yeah, I wanted to add some piccolo flute and maybe even some gentle pizzicato sounds, but then I thought keeping it simplistic isn't really that bad xD Maybe I'll build some song on that motif in future.

The drums are called "congas"

yeah

the melody sounds pretty robotic when you repeat short notes to make melodies that would probably sound better at a faster speed or as chords- cause this way, it sounds rather bland. I like the syncy sweep on one of the synths. Sadly the song keeps the same way waaaay too long. I'm kinda bored of listening to the sae stuff all over- wait there is some sort of other melody with the syncy sweep synth. Pretty random and off but strangely it works.

Ooh so there's a new part here- that choir makes it sound pretty dreamy, which is cool in a song like this. You choose some strange way of going from one part to another, suddenly it just drop and then it catches up- it's quite interesting. Anyways man, it sounds interesting and original, but there's lots of improvments that could be made.

Cool

I like that industrial sounding texture in the start- apart from that, the intro isn't too interesting- but that maniac laugh is so awesome- did you record that or did you use samples? cause it's great. The middle part has an awesome sound too. I absolutely love the drums in this tune too- pretty bouncy and original. The song progresses smoothly and stuff generally works (I don't have any other way to set words on it... :P) Good song.

Quarl responds:

Thats my laugh. I now detest using samples. You can thank dsmagnum for that. But yeah, I have quite the cackle. I got you back on your latest song, but I think I might have a look at what else you got. I've seen you in the macs and around the bbs, but I've never actualy took the time to listen to your stuff :(
