uhm

You know it's just a drum loop
a random one at that
unpleasantly random
with incredibly basic samples

If you're into random drums loops you could at least add effects like delay or phasers and shit like that
or do something else than random drums l0ps :|

at least it loops perfectly :P

Yozza

Them strings work damn great out
Beautiful thing, sounds like a credits theme, victory something, wedding or whatever. Yeah wedding I s'pose

Pretty damn great stuff man, have another mcperfect

well k

lacks intergration, but the parts sounds pretty damn good, it's just that you don't put the melodies toghether good enough.

Drums sound ok, but really if you added morme than a kick and a cymbal it would sound much, much better. Vocals sound pretty good though I don't get what it says. Bass is good tho. so is leady

pretty good work on this one

dj-zein responds:

I'm not experienced with making songs, so these kinds of reviews are highly appreciated. Also, the vocal says "prepare for annihilation".

Lol

How can a song be longer than he worked on it? time travelling?

anyways this song is the shit

Chopped like meat

This would fit in a future kind of game with machines going around and humping each other. Loops almost perfectly. Drums sound tiiiiiiiiny, some stuff sounds like it's coming out of a machine too. (well technically it's doing exactly that but you get the idea) The rest of the stuff is pretty messy, yet structured in a nice way

Hmmm... brambling to fill up space, hope you like my brambling

LJCoffee responds:

brambling eh? OK, then I'll bramble right back for a bit. Drums are quite tinny, there's a lot of low end in the bass and the growls and what not so I rolled off the low freqs on the "drums" for a bit of contrast. A cheap trick, yes - but I like the end result. No matter - the drums in this are all basically just a little noise and some modulation. Barely shaped static really...

Wow

Sounds sharp, scratchy and unmastered. Almost like if it's clipping, the lead's disortion is a bit too much on the crazy side. The drums are punchy, very repetitive though. All the leads mix together in a pretty chaotic song. Had to turn down my speakers to almost nothing for it not to be ear-hurting. However you have done a great job with the melody and assembly of parts and all that stuff, so it's not totally letting me down tho :P.

Pretty good job which would sound great if you mastered stuff and shaped stuff with filters and whatnot.

Shenkhar responds:

Eh, thats what I get for releasing stuff in a hurry.. I agree that it is unmastered. Also, the drums are often the weakpoint of my work. Thanks for this helpful critisism.

U MUST ENTER A UH LEIK SUMMAREH FOR UR REVIEW

Holy shit this song feels like it's on extacy or something

That percussive thing NEEDS to be played one octave lower. The scratchy thing under it sounds scratchy, perfectly scratchy, a bit scratchy tho. Bass is great, doesn't sound like most basses I've heard in my lifef. Then comes this soulful synth thingy which fits perfectly and made this ambience thingy around it

ok

Yayage!

At first the disortion thingy you had annoyed me a bit, but that mallet instrument thing you have there is damn great. Strings as usual, chords sound basically... good, and they fit nicely in. Drum sound like it's panned a bit too much to the left. Flute is great too. Awesome work!

MaestroRage responds:

the drums sound too panned? Odd, I do not remember putting a pan on it. Though I may very well have done so as I was having some mastering issues early on in the game for this piece.

The flute is an area of debate between listeners. Some feel it's good, some feel it's crap. The overall concept of this piece is geared towards making it sound as RPG'ish as possible. The site that shut down forever is called RPGWolfpack.com

it now links to another site, at least for the time being...

In any case, thank you for the review SBB, i'm glad you liked it!

You get my ":D".

Got a copy of Ableton laying around myself, but I don't get the hell of it

Anyways, that voice-ish bitcrushed thingy sounds damn fancy. Doesn't mix perfectly with the rest of the tune though. The percussion thingies are cool, sound small somehow. The patterns do... well... sound quite outta this world. Triangle-like pad you've got is great.

Nothin' to critisize

Great experimental-sounding thingy (how do I respond to reviews? >:()

bah

I made a song sounding very much like this one once- noise and lonely synths- but my song is a 11 minutes long mofo >:(

Anyways, this would do incredibly good in certain scenes in flashes. Very creepy, like if there's something huge coming this way

Bass is so damn deep, it kills my headphoneys- I want my old ones >:( but it sounds pretty random and stuff- a bit off tempo

The white noise- if that's rain or wind, then there's a lotta low frequencies in it- I know a bandpass filter at the middle would make it sound more realistic, cause I tried putting a bandpass filter on your song :P

Synth could use to be more up and front, it's a bit hard to hear behind all the noise

Good stuff, way too short though

Astrono responds:

I see, thanks for the constructive review.
Yeah, i know about the shortness, made this a while ago when i still made a lot of short songs.
Although this would work out good as a loop, and about the noise, i think it could be put at a lower volume indeed.
About the bass, that's the unique thing of this song, the deepness of the bass which add a creepier effect combined with the lonely synths.

welcome to bluegrounds :))
