well

The start sounds good, sounds like there's a bit altered drum patterns there. Bass sounds pretty good and grumbling, could've been set a little higher though.

I loved the voice track in this, sounds almost llike an angel choir because of the reverb thing you did with it. Later on it sounds much more like an actual vocal track.

I like this track it be good

also wtf happened to your name

snoballandthmonyshot responds:

yeh, the mix is a piece of shit, is quite old. far too much reverb on the vox i reckon, it may have been to cover summin up tho:/
my name? shite knows and now you can't change your alias i'm stuck with it
cheers
;ped

coolish'

Very sharp bass there... not so sure if you really needed that there. I like the progression of the track, the melody assembly/layering etc makes the track sound pretty ethnic, the synths sound like a digital version of the african horn instruments.

Drums are goood, but theres a little lack of them. I could like to see some more progression than the usual beat that goes on all the time.

And consider making a better ending to it, as it usually needs something entirely different than what is usual to be good. yours is good enough for this song though.

Sounds pretty dark. It's a little messy, but sounds awesome at the progression part. You'll have another five from me

VegetarianMeat responds:

Thanks for the 5... and the 4 reviews.

I'll be reviewing you back tomorrow :)

very silent

this track is mastered really low... and if I turn the volume up I get the shimmering sound of over-reverb. You could've mastered that down and made the pad a little dryer.

there's so much reverb on it you won't hear everything else in it. After what I can see there is a bell that sounds pretty good. And you're right it's repetitive.

I suggest you to take away a major lot of reverb, it kinda spoiled the whole track.

k

VegetarianMeat responds:

The main reason there's the mass amount of reverb is because I was experimenting with a new FX plugin (Camel Space). I should have worked on it longer and fixed that :(

Take note - I worked on this song for about half an hour >_>

wow

this sounds a lot like a paper mario boss battle. Which is mainly because of the secksay slapped bass you have in it. The orchestra is pretty cool, but I don't see where the DnB is... did it hide? This is more of a classical track really. I liekd the break with something classical in it.

Wait

Now there's some real DnB in here, it goes faster and faster and then it just goes back! This is weird for sure. Sounds pretty cool.

Great work again you're so underrated

preffertobedead responds:

Well thank u for all ur support SBB...

^^. i really appreciate ..

himp

This sounds just like the midi file, there's really nothing more in it than the percussion here... I like your synth choices though, though they souns a little bare and dry, they do the job. It's a good thing you've done here, though not the best. ALSO COCKS :D

preffertobedead responds:

he...that's completely true...humm..this was my 1st submission...

;)

reviewing the full version

I don't know why you submitted it to dance, it sounds a lot more ambient to me (at least in the start). Not as much as your others though. Wow this is long.

Okay... the pad in the start sounds really twisted and sick, but it's a good start. The other LFO thing you got there sounds spretty good too, makes a rising, digital feeling. I don't know about the high pitched squeaks though, they sound more scratchy than anything else. Do you have a bass there? In that case it's really low

It keeps the same very long. But then this fx thing's coming... it just seems like noise, it moves on to the part that contains some drums. This part is much better, it's catchy and dreamy. The reverse sine-like thing sounds fantastic.

A little repetitive at times, it seems to be the same one-bar repetation on the sine for a while. And so does many of the beats.

Then there is a break with some fx, which sounds great too, but it takes away a little of the style it had, and moves on to a harder part with all kinds of synth squeaks. I don't mind that part, it's okay I guess.

Now it comes back with underwater. I loved the square pad. Sounds professional as you add the little lfo and resonance.

And an industrial sounding sinking thing, sounds good, but I wish I could hear more of it later. Seems to be pretty random beats at times now, but they aren't noticable, you only hear rhytm and not drums at all... it keeps this way for reaaaaaaaaally long

Then you seem to end it. I like this part, a little more silent compared to the other track, but a great ending. I could like to see something else than the usual fade-out though.

So the summary should be

Awesome work!

Gillenium responds:

Hmmm, are you reviewing the demo here on NG or the full version on myspace?... well either way - Haha, everyone seems to think this is ambient! I have to admit defeat here... I thought for sure it was dance, but I'm gonna consider it ambience now. But, it's very dancey ambience! I know it's pretty repetitive, but that was kind've the point. I wanted to make a classic-style dance tune with limited drum change and fading synths, with my own personal touch, of course. I'm working on a club song now that's a lot more repeditive than this :D Not everyone has the patience for it, I know... I'm glad you finally gave a big review to one of my new tracks! Thanks for the review!

Pretty good

I liked the guitar thing in here, makes a great feeling to the song. Voice sound awesome, is that yours? I liked the subtle pad in the background too. Sounds like a piano is there... Great work!

heather-lanham responds:

I'm glad you liked it, and yes, I sing in all my work. thanks!

Weird

It seems to be just voices around something... and yes i's scary. I suggest you to add something more than a choir in it, and maybe have some melody/actual song etc in it...

heather-lanham responds:

see V2. I plan on actually doing something with it eventually.
it IS creepy. I made it on accident
and then expanded it a little.

I didn't even listen to it all the way through before submitting it.

it shows.

Yay!

This one is great! I didn't quite like the overdriven guitar mashes, but that's about the only thing I can critisize! I liked the little synth thing you had through it. The drums are great too. Nice solo in there too. The vocals are good, though it sounds a little false at times to me. Great work!

Setu-Firestorm responds:

The vocals are 100% real. I have no plugins to adjust them either (as far as "autotuning" goes) I just practiced like hell. =p

Thanks for the review.

okay

I never listen to metal so I don't know how this is a tribute to 80's metal whatever.

The riffs all sound pretty good, though a little repetitive at times I guess it keeps a little structure on it. I noticed the solo's here, but I'm not really a fan of solo's either way

Drums sound great, very catchy and all that blah

yay

mhb responds:

well at least you gave it tens and reviewed it. thanks.
