yap

so what genre ya gonna have it in in the contest then? : /

Anyways, this is a pretty neat little piece. Where cool hat rhytms and rolls. Cool wobbling bass pad.
Ugh, again a very horrible claw (yeah, piano) melody- you might want to train a bit on those piano melodies :P

Apart from that it's a decent track, good luck in the contest my love

DoobyTimePiece responds:

awwww i love you to sbb

bargh

That noisy pad turns out mighty annoying at that "s" frequency you keep it at, maybe you should try using a de-esser if ya know how to make one- meh about that, cool noise rhytm, loving the way you flanged it

takes a while for it to develop much, it pretty much keeps resting on the same level for the most- oh god those fxes are so awesomeeeeeeee

drums work perfectly fine, reverb'd do it awesomenesser

ugh what an ugly square lead, get a softer one

nice song

SysRq00 responds:

Aww, you didn't like my lead at the end? I thought it was pretty effing rad. =/

And yerr, reverb does make everything sound better. And I knew you'd like them deep space effects.

No, I don't even know what a de-esser is. I'm assuming you know how to make one.

Thanks for the review! =D

mighty soothin'

bah the only thing that I don't like with these ones is your use of thin sawtoothpaste synths, makes it sound less professional and more... you know, fl preset-ish :P

but apart from that this track is mighty soothin' and groovy if you want it to be that. Awesome drums and cool fxs. Nice paddage

bit dragged out maybeh, ya know it's repetitive as hell- if ya gonna make it long, at least make it somewhat diversed throughout the whole thang

cya

WritersBlock responds:

Thanks for reviewing.
Yeah, I gotta break away from the presets. I'm starting to, just not completely...
lol, you're not meant to notice it's too dragged out! But yeah, I could probably shorten it a bit or change it up a little bit.

Thanks man.

lol

if I ever were to massdownload a song it'd be this :P

anyways this is good stuff, I agree with them people wanting some more bass and stuff, and I personally want an extremely awesome sub bass of awesome, you better go get one

yeah well them trancy synths don't really fit into the dnby picture, makes it a lot more happy styled esque than it should you know that stuff ya

cool acid synthage in the start btw

goody

WritersBlock responds:

Lol, if ya really want to waste your time with it.
Yeah, I've been working on finding a strictly DnB sound for the competition, and I've got a song in the works with a better DnB drum sample and plenty of bass.

Thanks for the review.

alrighty then

I don't really know what to say

I am amazed over it's awesomeness

I'm speechless

Little-Renastair responds:

No need to say anymore

yo kevs

bargh that felt a bit random for my taste really I'd really love to hear bit more structure and such instead of that many random sounds and melodies- and it yer goin' into the lots of sounds no hierarchy thing at least do it somewhat structured lol

but well I don't know. Just didn't like it too much.

good work nevertheless

kevs91 responds:

i think i'll always disagree with the "random" comments simply its never random to me, you know? but i'll work on making stuff easier to get into for people who aren't me, 'cos I guess no one else is in my head here with me. i do think there was definite structure, though, with a verse-chorus-change thing going on, and I guess the extra noise (like the two guitars and bass guitar) was just something I liked in there for the overall sound and because its always nice to hear different things every time you listen.

still, it is nice to have input, so thanks for the review.

i'll try to review something of yours once i get off this zycam-clariton-coughmedicine induced coma. so, probably tomorrow, hopefully.

beh

harp isn't of my liking at all... something you did with it I think. Strings are goooooody. The mix of shakers and synth drums didn't really fit, but it sounded pretty cool

very repetitive and basic, could really need some fillin'

good stuff

Dj-UnKnOwN responds:

Thanks agian for a review =] And once again, this is my first attempt at Ambient, since i dont know how to make an 'ambient beat' i went for a more The Cynic Project feel, a sort of ambient trance if you will.
Thanks a lot for the review

yah

Very robotic drum programmin', some great synthage but they are way too overloaded and messes the track up completely. Gatedness is cool. Could use some drummage after the 8 first bars with that though, not only the 16they

no really it's nice

Dj-UnKnOwN responds:

Thanks a lot for the help =D. yeah i wasnt sure weather i could submitt my [Dj-U] After Hours since i use samples that i took out of the halloween techno music. Ah well it's fine, this one will do. Anyway, since this was my first DnB i didnt really know what i was doing, and boney-man was walking me through it but he could'nt hold my hand the entire way =P
Thanks for the review

IDB?

Inter-American Development Bank? Islamic Development Bank? International Data Base? Institute for Defense & Business? Irish Dairy Board?

come the fuck on lol that's what I got when I googled it

Oh and this song is good, still loveable but bit anonymous sounding. That fm piano thing really felt ugly

Cool effected drums n stuff

Nice work

Spikrodd responds:

IDB is Intellegent Drum n Bass. lol. The fm piano was a bass synth i distorted and tweaked.
When i made it and after I made it... all I thought of was John Deere... o_____O~~!

I still cant get basses to save my life. More practice yes.

Arrr

Niiiice stuff. That gated reese thing wasn't really of my liking, sounded really digital and stuff- well I'm just a "analog warmth" ftw guy so don't mind me. The reese is some awesome on-crack synthage though, absolutely of my liking. Cool detuned bass too, but it doesn't appear enuffr >:( Yay jungle beats.

Btw, still only using garageband? This's amazing shit if you did it with only that. Well if ya didn't... then it's still amazing ^^

Awesome work my good sire

Quarl responds:

lol. Ar, thanks for the review :D Yep, I'm still using just garage band and I pride myself on not using any samples. Good luck with your comp songs!
